It has been so exciting to really push our rosé program to new levels every year. Stylistically, the changes from vintage to vintage are subtle - but work in the winery and vineyard, much less so. Our winemaker Brett Meier has really focused in on the details that make rosé wines stand out in a crowd. Brett’s attention to detail has us consistently improving our process, ferment dynamics and barrel selection for the “sur lees” portion (7%). The “sur lees” portion is both barrel fermented and then further aged on lees, stirred, with full malolactic fermentation. This has allowed a creamy strawberry character we’ve been fine tuning for several years. We have an exceptional following for this wine, and it has been hailed among BC’s top rosés. We were again fortunate here to work with a well accoladed Pinot Noir vineyard in Naramata and like the Gewurztraminer, the mix of Appellation fruit yields depths and complexity.

Oracle is a blend of 76% Pinot Noir (15% of which is from Naramata) and 24% Syrah. Whole cluster press, zero skin contact. The palate echoes white peach, ripe raspberry and creamy strawberry. The nose is simply packed with wild berries and cinnamon hearts. Like many Provence inspired rosés, the finish is tight and focused.

Tasting Notes
"It boasts a pale, Provençal-like colour that leads into a fresh, bright nose of wild strawberries and cinnamon hearts. On the palate, raspberries, guava, and pear are streaked with mineral wet stones. A summer of fish tacos, spot prawns, crab cakes, and Mexican dishes all call out for this pink." -Anthony Gismondi, Vancouver Sun/Gismondi On Wine
